3 Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who blessed us

in every spiritual blessing
in the heavenlies in Christ
4 just as He chose us in Him

before the foundation of the world
for us to be

holy and blameless ones
in His sight

in love

5 Who predestined us for sonship

through Jesus Christ

for Himself,
according to the good pleasure

of His will
6 for the praise

of the glory of His grace,
with which He graced us

in the Beloved.

7 In Whom we have redemption

through His blood
the forgiveness of the trespasses
according to the wealth

of His grace
8 which He poured into us
in all wisdom and insight.

9 Who made known to us

the mystery of His will
according to His good pleasure

which He purposed in Him,
10 for the administration

of the fulfillment

of the times,
to bring to a head all things

in Christ,
the things above the heavens
and

the things upon the earth

in Him.

11 In Whom also

we were appointed by lot,
having been predestined
according to the purpose

of Him

Who works all things
according to the counsel

of His will
12 so that we might be

for the praise

of His glory,
we who hoped beforehand

in Christ.

13 In Whom also you,
when you heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation,
in Whom also,

when you believed,
you were sealed

by the Holy Spirit of the promise
14 who is a pledge

of our inheritance
for the redemption

of the posssesion
for the praise

of His glory.
